This is it!Today was the last day of my term as a Chat & Forums and Architecture Photography Community Volunteer. It's crazy how fast time flew by! Yet I got so used to be part of the team, it feels very strange to leave it. I've worked with a bunch of warm and supporting people!
I'm deeply grateful to $Moonbeam13 to have given me this opportunity to get involved with the community and try to improve the Architecture Photography gallery, as well as feature some stunning work, and keep the chats & forums safer and cleaner. It has been a great pleasure!
Now that this chapter of my dA history has ended, I hope new ones will start, either through fun projects, new friends, or general deviantFUN!
To new beginnings!

NEW! Architecture Photography 'Details'Dear deviants,
Some time ago I asked the community in this journal entry how you all felt about some changes to the Architecture Photography gallery. A lot of discussions have been led and, ultimately, it has been decided that a Photography > Architecture > Details could be a useful addition!
Today we're proud to announce that this sub-category is finally open!
So what goes under Architecture details?
Photographs of architectural details, close-ups, fragments, or façades that do not fully express neither an interior or an exterior of a building or structure.

How To Photograph Your Paintings
How To Photograph Your Paintings
In this article I want to discuss a common problem that some traditional artists have. That's photographing your paintings. Whether it be for selling prints or just getting your art noticed online the importance of having paintings look great is key. If your fortunate enough to have a scanner for smaller pieces then that's great! But if your working on large canvases or paper then you can run into issues. The most common problem artists have are Glare, Blur and Color. All of which will be discussed in this article.
Anyone who has worked with acrylics and oils knows what a problem this can be when your trying to take a picture of a painting. This is not as much a issues for a artist working with watercolors

Giveaways NEED to STOP!Giveaways on deviantART need to stop! They're having a number of detrimental effects on the community at large. Within this article, I aim to discuss this problem, as well as provide alternatives for giveaways. I'll begin by outlining what a giveaway is, both in the real world and on deviantART; explain why giveaways are simply not for deviantART; illustrate my points with real-world examples; and then go into detail on what exactly the aforementioned detrimental effects are. Additionally, I will counteract a number of excuses people use for holding and entering giveaways; as well as offer alternatives to giveaways for both parties.
I know the article is quite long, but this is an issue which myself and a growing number of other community members feel to be important. But I promise, it doesn't actually take too long to read once you get going!
If you agree with my points in this article, or even simply find the debate interesting, I would appreciate
DeviantART Compliments #67How can I begin to describe the grandness of those I've met on deviantArt? There's ~ElfangorCharizard, a witty and humorous fellow, with a kind heart and a strong spirit. Also, the intelligent and lovely Miss ~Jillian411, who's genius writing has cheered up more than just one cloudy day. There's also ~SphericalOne (Sir Llama) who's an absolute delight!
I must say that, had it not been for these and other lovely deviants, I would not be here, writing this compliment today.
With deepest love~
~fetchmonkey is the most amazing person I've met online (guess it's obvious as to who this is now but anywho...). His art is SO awesome and is still staggering up the ladder - keep going man!
I find it really really easy talking to him about... well, everything too (love those RPs we do >:3). I honestly don't know where I'd be without you; you always seem to bring my spirits up when we chat about really random, funny things.
You're properly thinking why I'm writing
My Pixel Winter ContestTime has finally come to have our very own official pixel art contest to give away some prizes and share the love with pixel community!
Christmas and winter overall is, at least for me, a very merry time of the year - families come together to celebrate Christmas, children play outside and have fun building snowmen. We all celebrate this time of the year differently with our own traditions. And this is what we want to see from you. It doesn't matter if you are a pixel art wizard or someone who tries it for the very first time, create something awesome in pixel art and share your idea of a perfect winter with us.
You have almost one whole month to create your entry for this contest. Contest runs from 12th of December until 9th of January.
But before you start we have some rules for you to follow.
1. Entry has to be created for this contest and can't be taken from your old work.
2. You can't use any pre-made templates, bases, etc

LithiumA single trickling rain drop
Like gossamer silk strands
Gliding along my third eye
Whispers wind's secret caress
I exhale. Lungs releasing-
Pressing translucent memories;
Fragment of a fragment
As water kisses rose petal,
Drifting down stream's curtain
Pretty little curtain.
Where the wizard lies.
He smiles up at me
With his monocled brow-
Sipping on warm tea
And fingers quacking casually
To the rhythm of his notes
This is a safe-zone. Free-zone.
Innocent eyes sparkle,
Imploring it to be true. I breathe.
